IR/Thermography
Infrared thermography has various implementations in a wide variety of sectors such as medical, military, process monitoring, electrical mechanical engineering, energy evaluations, R&D etc. Slight changes in temperature become evident using this technique.
Surface/Pulsed ECT
Probes induce energy into the test piece which are capable of detecting surface breaking indications. They can also identify material loss such as CUI below insulation or fireproofing.
Lifting Device Inspections
Regulatory requirements for lifting device inspections can be performed by our qualified technicians. These inspections can be performed on overhead cranes, forklifts/ manlifts and any other type of lifting device.
Real time Radiography
Process begins by emitting radiation at the object to be tested. On the other side there is either a phosphor screen or a flat panel with microelectronic sensors which creates a digital image of the part in real time, including the internals of the part.
Rope Access Services
This access technique is quick and effectively designed to fit a wide variety of situations. Our trades people can perform almost all types of tasks safely utilizing rope access.
Tubular Inspections
ECT/NFT/RFT/IRIS -These tubular inspection techniques are used to locate defects on the internal and external surface of heat exchanger tubes. The data acquisition speed can be as fast as 5 seconds per tube.
Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing
An advanced method of Ultrasound Testing which uses multiple elements to create optimal beam formations leading to a higher Probability of Detection (POD). This method is code compliant with ASME VIII/B31.1/B31.3 and CSA W59.
Ultrasonic Testing
Ultrasonic testing increases asset performance by decreasing the likelihood of minor or major failures in critical equipment. This testing can be performed safely with other workers in the same area.
Remote Visual Inspections
RVI is an enhanced visual examination method that facilitates acquisition of visual data by means of aids such as borescopes, push cameras, pan/tilt/zoom cameras and robotic crawlers.
HTHA Velocity Ratio
When steel is exposed to atomic hydrogen at high temperatures and pressures, hydrogen atoms may dissolve into methane to create micro-fissures at steel grain boundaries. These micro fissures reduce the strength of the metal and cause cracks to form in the steel. Velocity Ratio can detect early stages of this damage.
Magnetic Particle
MPI is a non-destructive test used to determine the existence and extent of macro defects such as cracks in ferromagnetic materials; discontinuities in the material create variations of magnetic field which are outlined by fine magnetic particles.
Hardness Testing
Hardness testing is used to evaluate the strength or hardness of a certain material for quality assurance. Hardness Testing include portability, minimal errors due to steel crystal structure, accuracy, no safety or environmental hazards, and are affordable
Digital Radiography
Our X-ray inspection technology contributes in determining the integrity and viability of welds and in the provision of localized corrosion information via profile shots with approximate data.
CWB Visual Testing
Technicians holding certification through the Canadian Welding Bureau endorsements for Piping, Pressure Vessels and Structural Steel.
INSITU Metallography
Onsite services for acquiring samples used for determining physical properties of materials.
Liquid Penetrant
Liquid penetrate inspection (LPI) or penetrant testing (PT), is a widely applied and low-cost inspection method used to check surface-breaking defects in all non-porous materials. In our Industry it important to be done on short intervals.
API Inspections
Our qualified inspection team is certified in such codes as 510/570/653/1169. The thorough visual inspection is completed efficiently followed up by a detailed report of findings and recommendations.
Level 3 Services
Procedure and technique development/review services available. Also offering project management, data review and procedural compliance auditing.
Time Of Flight Differaction
Time of Flight Diffraction (TOFD) is a reliable method of non-destructive testing primarily used to locate flaws in welds. TOFD is highly reliable because it eliminates any geometry based false calls accustomed to Pulse-Echo.
Automated Ultrasound Testing
AUT-based inspections offer consistently incremented and repeatable scanning, and increased speed and accuracy of inspection. These advantages enhance post-collection data analysis, including fitness for service calculations. Our AUT is also capable of calibration verification.
Radiographic Testing
Uses x-ray/gamma to penetrate through the component while exposing the film placed behind. The exposure creates a permanent record on the film after developing.
Failure Analysis
Failure analysis is the process of collecting and analyzing material properties and data to determine the root cause of a failure.
Carbon Eqivalency
Carbon Equivalency for a material can be completed through a process of acquiring metal shavings in the area of concern. The testing is relatively quick and only removes a small portion of the base material surface.
Positive Material Identification
(PMI) is the analysis of metallic alloys to establish composition by reading the
quantities by percentage of its constituent elements. Typical methods for PMI include X-ray fluorescence (XRF) and optical emission spectrometry (OES).
